The Economy of Proximity: Dramaturgical work in contemporary dance
In this article, Bojana Kunst aims to show that the reasons why dramaturgy has entered contemporary dance over the last two decades have been not only because of the aesthetic and formal changes in contemporary dance but also because of a profound shift in our understanding of the manners of working in contemporary dance and of the ways of its production and presentation. Through an historical analysis, Kunst discusses the paradox of proximity and the profession of the dramaturg.
