Dramaturgy at Large: An Interview with Arthur Ballet
An interview with scholar and dramaturg Arthur Ballett: Arthur Ballet is professor emeritus in theater, University of Minnesota;the former director of the Office for Advanced Drama Research; and a recent panelist to, consultant for, and theater program director at the National Endowment for the Arts. He briefly served as Dramaturg at the Guthrie Theatre and continues to read plays and acts as consultant to various foundations and theater companies. Dr. Ballet is on the boards of advisors for *American Theatre* (TCG, New York) and *New Theater Quarterly* (Cambridge University Press, England); and he is presently writing books about theater, criticism and the popular arts. He has recently resigned as entertainment critic, KSTP TV (ABC) but continues to serve as occasional production dramaturg and literary adviser, for films and theater.
